Good God I’ve been eating cookies and cakes and candies as if it’s going out of style. I don’t know what’s gotten into me…but as long as I keep hitting the gym, I’ll be okay.
So I’m in the East Village the other night, and I stumble upon a gluten-free bakery. Tu-Lu’s
The first thing I think when I see “gluten-free” is, “OMG…I can eat a ton of bread and not feel weighted down and bloated afterwards!
I won’t even TRY and explain how a gluten-free diet works, because honestly, I don’t have the slightest idea. What I do know is that it’s worked for me in keeping my weight down, and maintaining it. For more information about how gluten-free stuff works…go HERE.
Tu-Lu’s is not paying me for this plug on my blog. If they see it, I can certainly hope that they’ll give me a Red Velvet Cupcake next time I go in or a Molasses Cookie. When I entered the bakery, they were getting ready to close. I ate three cupcakes, two cookies and SEVEN of the most amazing caramels I’ve had in my entire life. I consumed all of these things in less than 7 minutes, ran back to bakery, which was then closed, I knocked on the door and the guy looked at me-probably thinking I was kidding about coming in to buy even MORE stuff to eat.
He did not let me back in, and it was probably for the best.
Speaking of eating TONS of food…my sister had her baby yesterday. (No I am not preggers) I’ve never been pregnant, so I don’t know how labor works, but she was in labor for a little over 16 hours with NO pain medication, NO epidural, etc…and pushed for THREE hours, which I’ve heard is really abnormal. My mom said all is well, but that she’s exhausted. Personally, I’d want to go the c-section/tummy tuck route, which I’ve heard is a popular option in Hollywood. So I’m an Aunt….Yay!
