Introducing the: I’m a Product Whore Blog Series!

Each week I will review an “As Seen on TV” product.  I will give my honest feedback on the products I review.  If you have something you want me to review, message me and perhaps we can work something out.

WEN Shampoo Review…

Yes you’ve probably seen the commercials for this product in the wee hours of the am.  If you’re anything like me, bored and suffering from insomnia, you may give into temptation and the high production quality of this infomercial and call the toll free number.  I was about ready to do it myself until I thought…”Hmmm…surely at least one of my Facebook friends has tried WEN Shampoo and odds are someone will let me try it.”

Well, I was right and five days later, my lovely friend Jean shipped me a care package, telling me that it just wasn’t for her.

Pros of WEN Shampoo:

Unlike the majority of shampoos out there WEN does NOT have Sodium Laurel Sulfate in it or detergent.  Most of the ingredients are all natural and it will leave your hair silky smooth after you’re done using it, so clean in fact that it works as a conditioner as well.  It will feel very clean.  Almost TOO clean.

Cons of WEN Shampoo:

The first red flag, and I’m taking this right off the bottle: “Rinse hair thoroughly, then apply 16-24 pumps of WEN to your palms…apply to your scalp..”

Umm…..16-24 PUMPS?!  That’s a buttload of product, I thought it was a misprint, but no.

Unlike the majority of shampoos out there WEN does NOT have Sodium Laurel Sulfate in it or detergent.  It will NOT lather like the typical shampoo.  It smells kind of weird and I usually don’t wash my hair every day, but rather every other day.  WEN left my hair feeling greasy at the end of day one and I felt that using it again wouldn’t make it feel any cleaner, so I switched back to my normal shampoo.

WEN Shampoo is not a bad product.  If you’re looking for something with more natural ingredients for your hair, it’s probably something you’d like to try.  Yes my hair felt smooth and silky afterwards but I’m spoiled.  I missed the lather factor.

To the makers of WEN and other people compelled to try this product. This is only my opinion,  I use botox for the love of God, and that’s far from something natural.  I am not dissing your product.  Chaz Dean is onto something good, and it may not be for everyone but good job on the marketing and infomercial!

There’s going to be a bikini contest at Rick’s in May!  Woo hoo!  I’m excited and I’ll post more on that when I have the info! Crash diet starts in 5-4-3-2…..
