Well, if you follow this blog you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been mia for the past few days. I recently purchased a Flip Cam…which is truly amazing, however it was too much for my netbook to handle, and “corrupted” the poor little thing which was deemed dead by a friend of mine who was a former Geek Squad member. So after much deliberation, I finally decided to do what I should’ve done in the first place. Not spend $ on a piece of crap computer that will only last a few months, and buy a good one. So I just bought my first Mac Netbook. I literally just took it out of the box and blogging was the first thing I wanted to do. I’m getting used to being a Mac owner. People keep telling me how it’s going to change my life. I’ve only had this in my possession for less than an hour, and I feel pretty good…slightly more modern and moderately cooler.
You know what I love about 7-11? (Yes I am aware this statement is coming out of f’ing nowhere). The fact that it’s never changed or compromised. It’s been around forever. They are popping up all over Manhattan now and they look just as crappy as they ever have. You’d think that they’d try and modernize themselves, like McDonalds has tried to do in the city, but no. They look awful, and I mean that in the kindest way.
My friend Mala and I agreed, it’s oddly comforting and wrong. Walking by a 7-11 reminds me of going on family road trips as a kid and not being allowed to have the Slurpees with the red dye in them. I also associate them with Wal-Mart for some reason.
I told my mother today that there was a fire on Farmville. She panicked, and then I’m pretty sure she realized I was kidding, and was not pleased.
That’s all for now…I don’t have ANY photos saved on this computer yet. So no pic up today!
