Who Dat!!!…and cash for gold…gold for cash?

WHO DAT!

I am SO sick and tired of hearing this phrase, however I’ve found myself using it frequently over the past month.  I’ll admit it, up until a week ago I didn’t even know that the name of the team was the Saints.   Two weeks ago I didn’t even know it had anything to do with sports.

The only real thing I know about the Saints now is that they won the Super Bowl, and that Kim Kardashian is dating Reggie Bush. So WHO DAT!

I just got home from work.  Tonight a man offered to pay me in GOLD.  I’m sorry, but Rick’s Cabaret does not accept gold as a payment.  I told him I appreciated the offer, but that I would prefer cash.  He told me that he didn’t have the gold on him, but could bring it to me the next day…kind of like an “I owe you” type of thing…I’m sorry, but it doesn’t really work that way.  I just kept thinking about him having a treasure chest filled with gold coins or something in his house.  Also, if you plan to try and pay someone in gold…wouldn’t you bring some of it along with you?  I asked him if he usually tried to pay for stuff in gold.

“No, it’s actually something new I’ve recently thought of trying out.  You’re the  first person I’ve ever met from Nebraska.”

Well…it was a first for both of us.  My first time being offered golden coins, and he, meeting a real Nebraskan.  What a night!

I finally saw Avatar in 3D.  Visually lovely, and my short attention span survived all but the last 30 minutes of the movie.  The 3D glasses started annoying me and I wanted to rip them off my head.  Then my friend and I started laughing at an inappropriate part of the film, pissed off some fellow moviegoers, and we decided that we probably knew what would happen at the end of the film, so left 30 minutes early.  According to google, and asking others, I was right about the very predictable ending.

To summarize, Avatar is really amazing visually.  Just gorgeous.  It’s a new age version of Dances With Wolves-like that film, it’s also about an hour longer than it needs to be.  Giovanni Ribisi’s character portrayal of “Parker” was very VERY obviously based on him watching Jeremy Piven in many episodes of “Entourage”.  So there you have it.

I haven’t had much of an appetite lately…it’s been awesome!  I’ve been under a lot of stress.  Too bad I wasn’t this way when I lived in Los Angeles.  I know I haven’t been eating as much as I should be lately, but tonight I made up for that by eating pizza, salad, chocolate brownie sundae, and four sugar free Red Bulls!  MMmmm!
