Sorry it’s been a few days since my last blog.
The past few weeks have been extremely interesting to say the least. In all of the press that’s happened a lot of people have been supportive, which I’m really thankful for.
Some have questioned my motives. I understand why you’ve done so. Hopefully that will be cleared up to you in the next week.
A girl I work with has been particularly nasty to me in a passive aggressive way. I’m really glad that one of my traits is that I get along well with everyone and I avoid drama and conflict as much as possible. She made a comment about my weight (knowing that I’m totally insecure about that) and about me becoming an “overnight success”…I hardly think getting on the cover of the Sunday Post deems me as a success. Of course I think it’s totally awesome, and it’s presented some great opportunities. Look at it this way. I didn’t make the cover for anything outstanding I’ve done in my life other than take my clothes off, and for the fact I used to work at a brokerage firm. This person also doesn’t know that I’ve had my fair share of struggles in life. I don’t hate her for being nasty to me, she just doesn’t know me well enough to really form an opinion at this point. I’ve lived in New York for ten years, that’s a long time. So it took me ten years to get on the cover of the Post, for, yes…being a stripper.
I really want to thank Ken, Shaun, Tito, Steven, David, Ed, Eric, Allan, and Lonnie. You guys have been really supportive and have helped smoothing over things at work. I doubt any of you read this blog, but if you did it would surely bring a smile to my face.
You can’t make everyone happy in life. You can’t be friends with everyone. Not everyone is going to love you, but not everyone will hate you either.
